This vineyard has been a family monopole since 1874. It is the domaine's flagship wine and one of just two Burgundian grands crus to bear the name of its owner (Romanée-Conti being the other). This is complex and fascinating, with sweet, smoky spice wrapping around concentrated red fruit, with long, mineral length.

The 2024 Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru, which according to Erwan Faiveley underwent a difficult élevage as the wood did not integrate in several barrels, has more energy and vigour than several of Faiveley's Côte de Nuits cuvées poured beforehand. Bright red cherries, blackcurrant and sous-bois scents burst from the glass, all well defined and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, beautifully balanced with a harmonious and elegant finish worthy of a Grand Cru. This is within touching distance of the 2023.
