The 2024 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has a lovely nose, pure dark berry fruit laced with pressed violet and iris flower, seemingly unperturbed by the traumatic growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with quite grippy tannins, more backbone than the Clos des Fôrets, although there is a slight herbaceousness on the finish, almost as if there were stems in the mix. Still, I admire the freshness and sapidity and it should age well in bottle.
