Tasting notes

The 2024 Echézeaux Grand Cru demands some coaxing from the glass, mainly redcurrant and cranberry fruit, touches of tobacco and crushed stone coming through with time. There is a delicacy here, but it is nicely poised and there is more presence compared to the Clos Vougeot. The palate is medium-bodied with more flesh on its bones than the Clos Vougeot, effervescent with blood orange and spice box towards the satisfying finish. Bon vin.
