The 2024 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru was cropped at a remarkable 45hl/ha due to the reasons explained in the Producer Profile. This has a fragrant bouquet with wild strawberry and raspberry fruit, crushed stone and wilted roses in an old antique vase. Not powerful but pure and beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, slightly grainy tannins. Lovely poise with hints of blood orange that emerge towards the finish. An exquisite Malconsorts with the backbone to suggest returns for those with the nous to cellar this.
