2023 Coteaux Bourguignons, Les Croix Blanches, Sylvain Cathiard

Cellar Circle Exclusive

This comes from a parcel between Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée, and contains 30% Gamay and 70% Pinot Noir. It is full of sweet spice and intricate red berry fruits with a lovely long, elegant finish. The cuvée is a recent addition of Sébastien’s to bolster the estate he inherited from his father, Sylvain.

Tasting notes

The 2023 Côteaux Bourguignon La Croix Blanche has a pretty bouquet of red cherries and bergamot scents, the Pinot more expressive than the Gamay (30%). The palate is well balanced with crisp redcurrant and cranberry fruit, and nicely poised on the crunchy finish. This is worth seeking out.
