This is a spectacularly well placed vineyard that enjoys a commanding view above the village. It is separated by just a small road from Clos de Tart Grand Cru. It is one of the more tannic and structured in the Felettig cellar in 2023. Gilbert mentions it’s always one of the final parcels to be harvested as it ripens a little later. The density is impressive.

The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis En La Rue de Vergy, which includes 20% whole bunch, has a more extrovert bouquet with kirsch and blood orange scents infusing the red fruit notes. The palate is ripe and sweet on the entry, with hints of candied orange peel, red cherries and a touch of spice. It has fine length, it's just missing a bit of nobility like Felettig's other cuvées. Drink it over six to ten years.
Picked late with 30% whole bunch vinification. A fuller ruby purple, this has more substance than many a Rue de Vergy in 2023. The later harvest aspect shows in a dark raspberry fruit with a little chocolate, all this with the hillside bones below. Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Dec 2024.
