2023 Bourgogne Passetoutgrains 'L'Exception', Michel Lafarge

Cellar Circle Exclusive

Produced in every vintage since the foundation of the domaine, this 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay, produced from co-planted vines, is one of Burgundy’s bargains. There is charm and freshness to the wine that offers aromas of violets and fresh red cherry with just a tinge of liquorice root on the finish.

Tasting notes

Medium red crimson. What a charming nose, much more pinot, with a softly generous ripe red fruit. A bit more acidity behind but this should be a charming gulper with a softer strawberry not. There is no Anthologie bottling this year. Drink from 2026-2030. Tasted Dec 2024.
