This is a blend of two parcels, one planted in the 1970s and 1980s, the other in the 1950s. It is raised in around half new oak, giving the silky fruit texture and luxurious depth.
Mid crimson purple. A slightly tighter red fruit on the nose and this follows through on the palate where the fruit is backward, quite tightly wound, with medium concentration and good length. This requires a little more time but the fruit has retained its expected high class nature. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted: December 2023.
