2022 Bourgogne Passetoutgrains 'L'Exception', Michel Lafarge

2022 Bourgogne Passetoutgrains 'L'Exception', Michel Lafarge

Produced in every vintage since the foundation of the domaine, this 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay, produced from co-planted vines, is one of Burgundy’s bargains. It shows a fine fruit expression with appetising astringency and a moreish sour cherry character.

Tasting notes

Anthologie is a selection of the best individual old vines. Total production is 2 x500 litre barrels, one new, and one 228 litre. This will be bottled only in magnums. An even bright crimson purple. What makes this different is the velvety texture throughout. The oak also adds to this effect. A fabulous long finish. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted: December 2023.
