2022 Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavières, Marchand-Tawse (Vignes de la Famille Tawse)

2022 Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavières, Marchand-Tawse (Vignes de la Famille Tawse)

This really works in 2022. The fully destemmed fruit has been given 25% new oak, and the balance is just right. It is sweetly scented, with pliant tannins and a pretty and delicate finish.

Tasting notes

All destemmed, and now racked to tank, after 25% new wood. A fine bright crimson purple, with lifted fruit, showing both energy and balance. I like Savigny in 2022. Typical briary red fruit with well-integrated tannins. Fair length. Drink from 2030-2035. Tasted: December 2023.
