This always feels slightly richer than the Chaumes, with some decadent berry depth and complex, weighted length. The cuvée is a recent addition of Sébastien’s to bolster the estate he inherited from his father, Sylvain.
The 2022 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Les Dames Huguette comes from more limestone soils than the Aux Charmes. With fine delineation and transparency on the nose, the terroir comes through on this cuvée. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, a mixture of red and black fruit with quite a sapid finish that begs another sip. Good potential.
