2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru, Marchand-Tawse

2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru, Marchand-Tawse

This comes from two plots: Les Treux and Rouges du Bas. The tiny volume has a luxuriously toasty feel, with light gingerbread notes, and a voluptuous length on the palate. Both intense and enticing.

Tasting notes

The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru is matured in 100% new oak and fully destemmed. It has an opulent, ravishing bouquet, very pure with sorbet-like dark cherry and cassis fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannins, plush and dense. Fine acidity which is important because there is 15° alcohol here, so there is a headiness here in a nice way.
