This is a blend of two parcels, one planted in the 1970s and 1980s, the other in the 1950s. It is raised in 50% new oak, which gives texture and luxurious depth.
The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village has quite an understated bouquet with black cherries, violet and light crushed stone aromas. It demands a little encouragement from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, quite fleshy and smooth with a slightly candid finish. Fine.
