As the name suggests, this is situated in the heart of Chambolle-Musigny. At 0.5 hectares, it is the Felettigs’ largest single parcel. There’s lots of limestone in the soil here, and the 2020 is agile and bright, with juicy flow, and floral detail.

The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Clos de Village, which comes from a 0.5-hectare of vines, had not been racked. It has a cool, tertiary, tobacco-tinged bouquet - something almost autumnal about this Chambolle. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of cracked black pepper on the entry. The 40% whole bunch here just needs more time to integrate and allow the limestone soils to show through on the finish. Fine, but it will need bottle age.
