2019 Marsannay, Marchand-Tawse

2019 Marsannay, Marchand-Tawse

This wine bursts with cranberries and sweet spice, with the lift of freshly cracked pink peppercorns. The palate has a nice texture with some firm acidity weaving through soft red fruit. The tannins are fairly soft and gentle but provide just enough grip to give the wine a long, detailed finish.

Tasting notes

The 2019 Marsannay Village comprises fruit from Longerois and Clos du Roi, among other lieux-dits. It includes 20% whole bunch and is raised in 50% new oak. The attractive nose presents more red fruit than black; fine Pinoté here. The palate is well balanced with a chalky entry, vibrant red berry fruit, fine depth and impressive delineation on the finish. This charming Marsannay Village punches above its weight.
