2019 Corton Grand Cru, Marchand-Tawse

This comes from the Rognet and Hautes Mourottes sectors of the Corton hill. A spiced nose with wild rosemary on rose hips, and some savoury bloody orange mineralit on the palate. Plenty of drive and intensity.

2019 Corton Grand Cru, Marchand-Tawse
Domaine Marchand-Tawse

Domaine Tawse is the part of the Marchand-Tawse stable that owns vineyards, including the Gevrey-Chambertin based Domaine Maume, purchased in 2013. Englishman Mark Fincham is responsible for these wines, including beautiful holdings of Mazis-Chambertin, and the wines here improve every year, including low-sulphur bottlings, and wines that demonstrate the array of Burgundy’s terroirs.
