2018 Savigny-Lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes, Domaine de Bellene

Comes from vines planted in the 1930s. Savigny is a huge success in 2018. Salty tannins and pure berry fruit, with plenty of spice and a long and focussed finish. Beautiful.

2018 Savigny-Lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes, Domaine de Bellene
Nicolas Potel

In 2005, Nicolas built up his own Estate, Domaine de Bellene, in the Côte de Beaune. Then in 2008 launched his new negociant business called "Maison Roche de Bellene" which also includes a range of very rare older vintages, under the name "Collection Bellenum". These wines, dating back to 1959 are the result of a very strict selection of old vintages exceptionally released from the wine cellars of some of the most famous producers of Burgundy.
