This non-sulphur wine has fast become a L&W favourite, and this, the 2017, is brilliant. Long and fresh with outstanding definition and spice, it’s the texture that really wows. Gorgeous.
Domaine Tawse is the part of the Marchand-Tawse stable that owns vineyards, including the Gevrey-Chambertin based Domaine Maume, purchased in 2013. Englishman Mark Fincham is responsible for these wines, including beautiful holdings of Mazis-Chambertin, and the wines here improve every year, including low-sulphur bottlings, and wines that demonstrate the array of Burgundy’s terroirs.
