2016 Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru, Comte Armand

2016 Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru, Comte Armand

One of the best value wines in the Côte d’Or, this comes from a blend of two vineyards in Auxey, Les Bréterins and Bas des Duresses. One is clay-based and the other chalky, so you have a lovely balance of styles. There’s some spicy, concentrated fruit, with fresh floral touches too. Just five barrels made in 2016.
