On the northern end of the Beaune vineyards, this has always been considered a top site. From Chanson’s 3.7 hectares, they’ve made a stunning 2015. The nose is quite broody at the moment, with dark fruit and elegant spice: it gives just a hint of the potential to come. The palate is impressive: there’s delicacy but plenty of intensity and structure: perfumed and floral, it’s a gorgeous Beaune from a rarely seen site.
