2014 Bonnes Mares Grand Cru, Marchand-Tawse

An absolute joy to behold, however, with just one barrel produced sadly a wine that very few will experience. Like a thoroughbred racehorse the sleek exterior hides a core of immense power and this will reward patience handsomely.

Domaine Marchand-Tawse

Domaine Tawse is the part of the Marchand-Tawse stable that owns vineyards, including the Gevrey-Chambertin based Domaine Maume, purchased in 2013. Englishman Mark Fincham is responsible for these wines, including beautiful holdings of Mazis-Chambertin, and the wines here improve every year, including low-sulphur bottlings, and wines that demonstrate the array of Burgundy’s terroirs.
