2014 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle, Humbert Frères

Sitting directly under Grand Cru Chapelle, the Humbert parcel is in prime location on its border. Ripe blackberry and red plum with hints of underbrush and spicy oak, the palate is harmonious and very complex.

2014 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle, Humbert Frères
Domaine Humbert Frères

Ten years ago, the Humbert brothers swapped roles with Manou moving into the winery and Frédéric into the vineyard, and they haven’t looked back since. A larger than life, rugby-playing winemaker, Manou draws out clear definition in his wines. There is noticeable clarity between the brothers’ many terroirs in Fixin and Gevrey-Chambertin, impressive precision indeed.
