The obvious glamour of Malconsorts aside, this is the best wine in Cathiard’s cellar in our opinion. 70 year old vines yield tiny berries of immense concentration with complexity added by earthy notes with lifted floral elements. Great line and mineral texture with all the power and depth of Nuits-St-Georges, combined with the grace and finesse of neighbouring Vosne.
