2014 Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru, Domaine des Lambrays

Using 50% new oak barrels and whole bunch fermentation the Grand Cru is renowned for its intensity and huge powerful profile, and the 2014 has an alluring perfume with a little hint of black pepper. Vibrant dark fruits fill your mouth, leaving behind a mineral coating on the fresh and lifted finish. A story of understated power.

2014 Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru, Domaine des Lambrays
Domaine des Lambrays

In 1979 Thierry Brouin took the helm of this famous domaine, best known for its namesake vineyard, the Clos de Lambrays which was granted grand cru status under his tenure in 1981. The estate itself was bought by LVMH in 2016, and Thierry has successfully overseen a smooth transition. Now, he’s decided to retire, working to hand over the keys to Boris Champy, who’s worked at Louis Latour and Dominus in the US and brings terrific experience to the table.
