2013 Nuits-St-Georges 'Chaliots', Domaine Michel Gros

Michel makes this wine separate to the village level Nuits due to differing soil types - and we're glad that he does. Fruit forward on the nose, heady and alluring, on the palate red cherry and plum, concentrated and pure, encased within velvet tannins. Very precise and well-made, you could be forgiven for thinking that this was more than a simple village wine.
