Cooler than its illustrious neighbour Le Chambertin, Latricières performs best in warmer vintages, and the ripeness of fruit in 2012 works well here. Bordering on the ethereal, this shows off a really pretty and violet-scented nose, an excellent preview for the gloriously soft and plump texture one finds on the redcurrant, loganberry and jasmine mid-palate. This is a fabulously seductive wine whose firmstructure only reveals itself on the long finish, and hints at excellent staying power.
