Considered amongst the best of Gevrey’s 1er crus, situated next to Clos Saint Jacques and at the same altitude as the nearby grand cru of Chambertin. Jadot have produced a superb Cazetiers in 2012, Restrained and closed on the nose, swirling the glass coaxes ripe damsons and fruit cake spice with a hint of mocha. The palate displays plenty of weight and textural richness, with tight grained tannins – this will take a little while to unfurl and evolve but will be worth the wait.
