2012 Gevrey-Chambertin, Denis Mortet
This may be expensive for ‘village’ wine but we can honestly say it was the finest village wine we tasted from 2012 during two weeks of visits. The body of this cuvée comes from 3.5 hectares on the Côteaux Brochon which have an average age of 45 years. Classic, peppery Gevrey with great purity.
