2012 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, Domaine Michel Gros

Michel believes he is has the smallest plot of Clos de Vougeot but he has made a wine with true presence. The attractive nose promises rich blackberry fruit which are layered in the mouth with velvety tannins and a beautifully lifted heart. It is almost aloof in character but this could be mistaken for shyness – one which will be worth the wait.
