2011 Chambertin Grand Cru, Maison Roche de Bellene

Maison Roche de Bellene's 2011 Chambertin is a study in understated, pure power. It is, quite simply, a massive wine of great complexity and elegance and shows off the fruit from one of the very best vineyards in the world. The brooding nose reveals dense summer fruit and already hints at the amazing depth this fabulous wine will reach when mature.

Nicolas Potel

In 2005, Nicolas built up his own Estate, Domaine de Bellene, in the Côte de Beaune. Then in 2008 launched his new negociant business called "Maison Roche de Bellene" which also includes a range of very rare older vintages, under the name "Collection Bellenum". These wines, dating back to 1959 are the result of a very strict selection of old vintages exceptionally released from the wine cellars of some of the most famous producers of Burgundy.
