2011 Grands-Echézeaux Grand Cru, Maison Roche de Bellene

Displaying a gorgeous nose, which is both incredibly attractive and brooding with potential. It has just terrific concentration, with notes raspberry, violets, sweet blackberry, overlaying oak spice and crushed rocks. It posses a wonderfully deep colour and is one of the larger scaled wines in 2011. On the palate, vibrant fruit assaults the senses, with a real sense of energy and persistency. The texture is sumptuous, the balance near perfect and the length quite incredible.
