2011 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Joseph Drouhin
Aromatic and fragrant, with notes of wild red berries and white blossoms. The palate is poised and delicately structured, with wild strawberry and damson fruit framed by firm but fine tannins and given lift by a vein of mineral acidity. Highly attractive, this is red burgundy at its most charming.
