2010 Echézeaux Grand Cru, Jean-Marc Millot

Scented on the nose, with appealing floral notes, white pepper and delicate fruit compote characters. These characters carry through onto the palate, but are framed by a fine, ripe tannic structure and a vein of freshness that gives lift and drive to the wine. This is the epitome of great 2010 red burgundy; beautifully fragrant fruit and a charming balancing acidity.

2010 Echézeaux Grand Cru, Jean-Marc Millot
Domaine Jean-Marc Millot

The modest Jean-Marc Millot is a man who lets his wines do the talking, and with wines of this quality he can afford to. After starting the domaine in 1992, he acquired many of his Grand Cru parcels in 1997. Today, his diligence leads to wines which define elegance and finesse. Unassuming yet overwhelmingly charming, here is an example of the wines reflecting the maker. His daughter Alix now works at the domaine, and challenges her father to make even better wines, already a winning formula.
