Whilst the nose is compact and closed, the palate is explosively full and multilayered, with notes of wild lavender, ripe cherries and exotic spice, threaded together with seam of cool minerality. The tannins envelop and coat every corner of the mouth yet, despite the taut muscular structure, there is an underlying suppleness and an overall impression of completeness. As close to perfection as Burgundy gets.
