2010 Chambertin Grand Cru, Maison Roche de Bellene

The depth and power of this wine truly reflect its exceptional vineyard character. Plenty of acidity and grippy tannin support the spicy, fleshy fruit. The richness has a certain smoky quality to it that is intense and brooding. This is a wine of superlatives, whose finish is long-lasting, sweet and impenetrable.

2010 Chambertin Grand Cru, Maison Roche de Bellene
Nicolas Potel

In 2005, Nicolas built up his own Estate, Domaine de Bellene, in the Côte de Beaune. Then in 2008 launched his new negociant business called "Maison Roche de Bellene" which also includes a range of very rare older vintages, under the name "Collection Bellenum". These wines, dating back to 1959 are the result of a very strict selection of old vintages exceptionally released from the wine cellars of some of the most famous producers of Burgundy.
