Appealing on the nose, with notes of floral red fruit and a hint of spice. The palate is demonstratively balanced, with all the components held in perfect check. The tannins are silky and layered, providing structure to appealingly juicy, fresh ripe fruit and there is some minerality here that gives a lovely sense of drive and direction. This is profound, yet beautiful; broad-shouldered, yet fine. Although, there is a touch of oak on the finish, the lasting impression one has of this wine is of tremendous freshness. A wonderful Vosne and exactly the sort of quality that one expects from a master like Michel Gros.
