2010 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, Georges Mugneret-Gibourg
More closed on the nose than the other wines from this property, this is a serious and structural wine. Dusky notes of dark berries and a hint of graphite come through gradually with time in the glass. On the palate, this has a layered texture, with tannins, acidity and dark, sweet fruit working in harmony to create a bold, broad, dense and concentrated wine. The finish is beautifully fresh and clean, with a palate-cleansing minerality. Delicious.
