Sourced from younger vines, there is a pleasing vivacity to the red currant and floral nose. Situated just above La Romanée on poorer stony soil, wines from this cru show a characteristic femininity and Cathiard’s is no exception, with a palate of crunchy red fruit allied to savoury complexity and silky tannins. Very attractive indeed.
