Les Suchots is sandwiched between Richebourg and Romanée-St-Vivant on one side and Clos St Denis on the other side, and the quality is certainly very close to Grand Cru level in 2009. NicolasPotel's version is no exception, with its absolutely delightful silkytextured crushed raspberries and a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg from the oak. Fine-grained tannins and juicy acidity complete the package for this highly seductive wine.
