2009 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots, Maison Roche de Bellene

Les Suchots is sandwiched between Richebourg and Romanée-St-Vivant on one side and Clos St Denis on the other side, and the quality is certainly very close to Grand Cru level in 2009. Nicolas
Potel's version is no exception, with its absolutely delightful silkytextured crushed raspberries and a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg from the oak. Fine-grained tannins and juicy acidity complete the package for this highly seductive wine.

2009 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots, Maison Roche de Bellene
Nicolas Potel

In 2005, Nicolas built up his own Estate, Domaine de Bellene, in the Côte de Beaune. Then in 2008 launched his new negociant business called "Maison Roche de Bellene" which also includes a range of very rare older vintages, under the name "Collection Bellenum". These wines, dating back to 1959 are the result of a very strict selection of old vintages exceptionally released from the wine cellars of some of the most famous producers of Burgundy.
