2008 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux
Gevrey is considered one of the more consistent appellations in 2008. Explosive on the nose with fennel, blackberry and woodsmoke, the palate is rich and concentrated. Spicy, with a thick texture and round, grippy tannins, this has a minerality and masculinity not found in wines from further south.
