2008 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru, Georges Mugneret-Gibourg
From vines planted in the year 2000 within Ruchottes-Chambertin, vinified seperately to produce a slightly lighter more sappy style to the official Grand Cru. Restrained, mineral nose with a cool sense of ripeness to the pure red berry fruit. Firm, slightly dusty tannins add structure to the mid-weight body. Excellent balance, followed by a highly elegant and mineral finish.
