2005 Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru Les Ruchots, Domaine Arlaud

A vineyard located on the southern (Chambolle) side of the village, on a gentle
slope below Grands Crus Bonnes Mares and Clos de Tart. Les Ruchots is a great
contrast to the Domaine's Les Millandes as it delivers a considerable punch.
Certainly the most backward of the Premier Cru Moreys in the Arlaud cellar but
although the nose is unrevealing at present, the palate is alive with a wealth of
plum and mulberry flavours. Rich and sumptuous with a broad, structured
texture. Certain to develop impressively.
