2005 Volnay Vendanges Selectionnées, Michel Lafarge

Produced from 40 to 50 year-old vines, generally situated in the centre of the
commune around the Premiers Crus. Wonderfully lifted, fragrant raspberry and
loganberry fruit on the nose. Similar lift is present on the palate with delightful,
ripe, red fruit characters. This is incredibly fine but powerful tannins give the
wine great focus, direction and the potential for longevity.
