The vineyard of Les Blanches is located just above the legendary Clos des Chênes. The wine is bright and vibrant in colour and has a wonderfully enticing nose that is perfumed and hits you even before you have brought the glass to your face. Sweet expressive red berry, cherry and ripe plum notes with that characteristic volnay velvet. The palate though is far more mineral and structured – fruity yes, but with a backbone of good tannin and mineral acidity that promises a good future. For a 'villages' wine this is of very high quality.
