2004 Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru Aux Champs Perdrix, Alain Michelot
There is a savoury element to the aromas together with vivid, deep red fruit notes. The palate shows an impressive depth with an earthy, meaty accent. The structure is assertive, this is a rich, broad-shouldered example but the elegant nature of the tannins and purity of the berry fruit do much to mask its muscle.
