2004 Pommard 1er Cru Charmots, Aleth Girardin
The nose is classy and expressive, with notes of juicy plum and cassis supported by a
light sheen of oak. A mid-weight wine with a long, engaging finish. What is so
impressive is the purity of flavour and the fine Pinot perfume. Finely structured too
with almost imperceptible tannins.
