2022 Château Rahoul Blanc, Graves

2022 Château Rahoul Blanc, Graves

Tasted April 2023. 87% Semillon, 13% Sauvignon Blanc. The highest proportion of Semillon ever used in the blend. Full of fragrant, white peach aromas, lilac and white flowers on the. There's lots of concentration on the palate from the Semillon, with lemon peel giving a welcome bite on the palate, alongside more aromatic flavours. Well-balanced and fresh.

Tasting notes

Firm white pear and peach character, this has charm but finishes a little soft, with a touch of candlyfloss and clove sweetness. Lees stirring during ageing.

85/100

A white with licorice, stone, lemon curd and cooked apple character. Medium body. Creamy texture.

The 2022 Rahoul Blanc, mostly Sémillon, is a distinctive white marked by its phenolic-like intensity. Dried flowers, orchard fruit and chamomile are some of the many notes that grace the 2022, a white that stands out mostly because of its textural feel. Tasted two times.
