This dry white from Sauternes, an area better known for its sweet wines, was one of our discoveries of the year. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, it's fresh and bright, with zesty fruit and amazing concentration on the palate. This has the power and balance of a white wine at many times the price. The long and textured finish lasts an age, with notes of grapefruit, orange peel and fresh ginger all unfurling in layers.
