A real high point of the week and confirms that 2013 is a very good vintage for the whites. Smith Haut Lafitte has a terrific nose, which is packed with exotic fruit, white blossom and a subtle smoky note. The palate shows excellent concentration, with layers of pineapple, mango, grapefruit pith and a touch of toast. It has a mouth-filling volume, crisp acidity, that really focuses flavours and a clean, precise and long finish. Wonderful stuff!
