Château Climens is in many minds the greatest Barsac property and regarded second only to Yquem in the hierarchy of Bordeaux' super-star sweet wine estates. As is the norm, Berenice Lurton and her team blend the component parts for the final assemblage considerably later than at most properties and therefore we are unable to provide a tasting note of the 2003 vintage. However all the indications are that Climens has produced an absolute gem, an ultra-sweet, incredibly complex and luxurious barsac.
